Background - My experience with dolphins
By Michael Strategier Report of my dolphin trip to the Red Sea in Egypt, from April 13 to 20, 2003. As a result of an accumulation of coincidences, I ended up with people who still believe in miracles and in achieving your dreams. I was invited to a trip to the dolphins, led by the internationally renowned dolphin expert and guide: Ocean Smets. An experience I want to share with you. My interest in dolphins was founded in 1998 during a session with Dr. Mary Meadows (Cellular Theta Breath of Light - "The Dolphin Breath"). After this session she told me that, during the session, I was surrounded by dolphins and that I would be their ambassador among men. One week in April, I spent six long days, four to six hours each day, at sea with the dolphins. It was in the Red Sea in Egypt, at a coral reef where dolphins come to their rest. A place with few threats and an abundance of food. The reef was stunningly beautiful and supported many, many forms of life. The multitude of colors and combinations were an experience in itself. Perhaps in that setting patterns gained extra beauty and visibility. My own attitude in the water from the beginning was one of meditation and prayer. Back then I was preoccupied with the green books of the "I AM" Foundation. I was very touched by the powerful Decrees, many of which I used daily. Underwater with the dolphins this focus came to life! The dolphins have supported and strengthened my intentions – intentions of peace and letting go of ego, giving way to the divine within us. The dolphins have shown me that we can have a party, that we can have fun. They came very close to me, to within a millimeter of my skin. With their enormous flexibility and agility they made sure they kept that minute distance. Even when we followed a group of dolphins downwards and they dashed up, they made sure never to touch us. During one of many moments of ecstatic joy, hundreds of dolphins swam quietly and peacefully underneath us. On the surface there was lots of play, turning and diving from the four to seven dolphins that became our regular playmates, while below us in the deep, large groups of dolphins quietly and slowly swam in peace. This was so powerful. I experienced it as a big musical chord, the groups of dolphins that showed patterns, all in a row in different positions and composition. You could almost say that there was a message in the patterns. It was like they created a dome of silence and peace around us, especially by the slow movements, sharing our joy and intense play. Occasionally, when I was tired and floating on my belly, I witnessed the silent procession beneath us. Now and then one or more dolphins flashed up like lightning from below, to accentuate the power of silence, and sometimes they breached the surface. Often there were swirling groups of five to ten dolphins, extremely dynamic and fast. And they were constantly touching each other with their fins, snout and bodies. They turned their bellies towards each other and made love, enjoying the physical contact. It was really wonderful to see how they embraced. Using their fins, one embracing the other and turning upside down, swimming together for a while. Sometimes they would swim fin to fin, hand in hand. Several times I was also allowed to witness sexual intercourse. The dolphins that regularly played with us showed us their whole body, each piece of skin. We were able to record every nuance in their shiny grey skin, fins and tails. They would swim next to you or just before you and you could not avoid studying every detail. What I liked most was when they turned around in complete surrender to us, and we could admire that great white belly. You could feel the intense joy of the dolphins. Especially at such moments you felt the joy and laughter. In the beginning occasionally a dolphin came close and then one of his eyes fixated on my eyes. The dolphin stared and kept on swimming. Usually we ended up spiraling in circles on the surface, and I had to do my best to keep up with him, while all the time that eye was looking at me. After a while he changed position so he could look with his other eye: very fascinating. Once I saw the eye as it were, from the inside: not just the slightly dull blue eye wash, but also the iris around the pupil, and all the fine lines in it. On the fourth day I started to silently ask them to come over and touch me. Moments later, I was surprised by a dolphin that pushed himself against my left shoulder. Immediately after, there was another on my right shoulder and I swam for some 15 minutes, completely enclosed. During this swim, a third dolphin appeared in front of me. She allowed me to feel her back, strong dorsal fin, white sides and belly that she presented to me. Swimming between these dolphins was as if I was guided to look at the other dolphins. I felt resonance; in fact, I saw it in the patterns of the dolphins under me – patterns of music and logic. Suddenly, I was totally aware of the connection between my feelings and what was shown to me. For me this was the highlight of the adventure. I feel that my aquatic brothers and sisters greeted me, shook hands and took me into their midst. I can almost not believe that this meeting actually took place. My recollection is like a dream, but thanks to the advice of Ocean, who recommends keeping a journal, I know it really happened. This was a week to remember. I promised the dolphins, from my deeply moved heart, to do everything in my power to spread the message to my fellow human beings on the planet, whenever and wherever possible. A message of tenderness, love, harmony, freedom, dynamism, the unrestricted playfulness and a highly inspirational joy.
